I began photographing weddings in 2010, I was a bride and then I was a photographer. We were married in Las Vegas, and somewhere between planning our own unconventional wedding and documenting others, I realized I was drawn to weddings and felt pulled to photograph them as well.

I learned photography in college, starting in the darkroom, where film photography taught me patience, intention, and how to truly see before pressing the shutter. I continued shooting film long after people called it a dying art, not out of nostalgia, but because it always felt honest to me.

Travel has always been a constant. My husband and I took our first road trip together in 2005 and never really stopped. Since then, we have traveled through over 100 national parks across the United States and 14+ countries, photographing weddings across three continents, often by train, bus, or long stretches of open road.

Today, we travel as a family. My husband is a musician, our daughter is an artist, and creativity is the common language we share. Whether I am navigating a new public transit system or learning a new language in an unfamiliar place, I feel most at home quietly observing, documenting, and preserving moments that matter.

I constantly am inspired by not only my travels but museums, fashion and art. I continue to go to New York bridal fashion week every year and keeping up with the latest in bridal trends. Some of my work reflects the beauty in fashion and storytelling. Currently we spend our time between our homes in Colorado and Paris, France.
