Eloping in Paris? Your Ultimate Guide to a City of Lights Destination Wedding

Paris is a city that captures the hearts of those who visit. Charming streets with accordion music, fresh baguettes and café au lait aroma invite you to explore Paris’ beautiful architecture, rich history, and vibrant culture. As an elopement photographer in Paris, I have had the privilege of traveling to this city numerous times and capturing the love of couples who share my appreciation for all that Paris has to offer. If you are eloping in Paris, I can help you create the intimate and memorable wedding day of your dreams.

Eloping in Paris is a dream come true for many couples, and for good reason. The city of love offers a romantic and intimate setting for couples who want to exchange their vows in a unique and unforgettable way. However, having an elopement photographer in Paris is just as important as choosing the right location for your ceremony.

Couples often elope or have a small ceremony with loved ones for privacy or cost savings, while still enjoying cherished experiences.

Where to begin?

Surely, if you are planning a destination wedding or elopement in Paris, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. One important thing to consider is taking care of the legalities of your marriage before you leave for Paris. Have a civil ceremony at home, then celebrate your love in Paris with an elopement ceremony.

Make your elopement special with a celebrant, even after taking care of legalities. After sorting legalities, plan location, guests, and celebrations for your destination wedding or elopement.

Some of the Paris wedding celebrants that I recommend are:

Guide to eloping in Paris

What Time of the year is best to elope?

A city that is beautiful in any season, but some months are more ideal for a destination wedding or eloping in Paris. April is a particularly lovely time to visit, as the weather is comfortable and the city is in bloom. The tourist crowds are also typically smaller at this time of year. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong made the song “April in Paris” for a reason.

Next, Summer can be a more crowded time in Paris, with a higher influx of tourists during July and August. For a more peaceful experience, you may want to consider planning your destination wedding or elopement for September or October. The crowds start to thin out at that time. These months also tend to be drier.

Finally, in the winter, Paris can be subject to rainy weather. so if you are planning an outdoor ceremony or event, it may be worth considering an alternative season. However, there are still plenty of indoor venues and activities to enjoy in Paris during the winter months, so don’t let the weather deter you from having the destination wedding or elopement of your dreams.
