Eloping on the streets of downtown Little Rock, Arkansas is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the special day of a couple who chose this charming city as the setting for their intimate wedding ceremony.
The evening before they had a little dinner with their closest friends and family then the next morning it was elopement time.
The day began at the Capitol Hotel, where the couple got ready in their luxurious suite. The hotel’s classic, old-world charm provided the perfect backdrop for their preparations, and the anticipation and excitement was palpable.
Next, we made our way to the Old State House Museum, where the couple exchanged their vows in front of only me. These are the most special moments where I really cherish elopements. The historic building provided a beautiful and meaningful setting for their ceremony, and the love and joy on the couple’s faces was truly heartwarming.
After the ceremony, the couple danced in front of the Old State House Museum, with a little boom box providing the soundtrack to their special moment. Tears and laughter filled the air, as the couple celebrated their love and commitment to one another.
We then headed to the top of a nearby parking garage, where we captured some stunning portraits with breathtaking views of the city. The couple was radiant, and their love and joy shone through in every image.
To end the day, the couple enjoyed an intimate dinner at the Capitol Hotel as I said my farewells to give them the privacy of the evening. It was a truly magical day, and I am so grateful to have been able to capture the beauty and emotion of this special couple’s elopement.
In addition to the beauty and emotion of this couple’s elopement, I also had the opportunity to experiment with different toy film cameras, such as the Holga and 35mm. Shooting on film added an extra layer of nostalgia and romance to the images, and the unique characteristics of the toy cameras added a playful and whimsical touch.
I love the organic, organic look and feel of film, and it was a joy to use it to capture this couple’s special day. The images we created are truly one-of-a-kind, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to experiment with these fun and creative cameras.
If you’re considering eloping in Little Rock, Arkansas, I highly recommend choosing the Capitol Hotel and the Old State House Museum as the setting for your special day. The charm, history, and beauty of these venues will provide the perfect backdrop for your elopement, and the memories you create will be cherished for a lifetime.
